“I don’t know! I want to find out what’s going on. I want to save Jon. I want everyone to be fine, and, you know what? If we were all happy that wouldn’t actually be the end of the world!”
Like and subscribe if you too would dive head-first into The Lonely to save Martin Blackwood. Characters who are just unshakably kind are v important to me.
“Jonathon Sims, are you trying to save the world?” “Yeah, I… I guess I am.”
A few months ago I was looking for something new to listen to on a train trip to Melbourne and on a whim started The Magnus Archives. Revisited it last week from where I’d left off and ended up binging all 4 seasons at lightning speed.
I’m literally listening to the s4 finale right now and it’s makin me nervous so here’s my take on our disaster of an archivist for u to enjoy while I panic over what’s about to happen.
people say the Magnus Archives isn’t funny but then what do you call the bit in “First Hunt” when an old man tells a harrowing story of his friend being murdered by a werewolf that proceeded to hunt the old man for sport for hours only for Jon to say “that’s nice but it happened in America so that’s really not my problem, is it?”
and what do you call the end of “Blood Bag” when, after hearing about a man dying on the spot after being set up by a swarm of innumerable paranormal mosquitoes, Jonathan’s entire response is “personally I hate mosquitoes and cannot believe this idiot was trying to deal with them nonlethally. 0 sympathy from me sir.”
some poor british person: goes through a horribly traumatizing paranormal experience and doesn’t think to collect evidence for it
jon, who knows the paranormal actually exists: absolutely not. filed under D for “dumb bitch disease”
